Kingdom Come Rebirth
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Kingdom Come Rebirth, the sequel to Kingdom Come Rising, is finally here! Experience the series like never before with all-new reborn gameplay mechanics and a complex story beginning 48 years after Rising.
Rebirth’s gameplay is the perfect blend of Rising’s and RUSH’s. You’ll explore environments and progress in the story much like in Rising, but more emphasis on battling and the shop have returned from RUSH. This means that you can hop into Rebirth and enjoy its gameplay regardless of whether you prefer Rising or RUSH!
Skill Charge Action System
Rebirth’s brand new battle system is centered around your gaining and use of SP (Skill Points). You can gain SP by Attacking or Defending, and after you’ve gotten enough, you can pull off Skills and deal major blows to your opponent. Certain characters can also use “Xel Moves”, acting as the return of the previous games’ “Xel” action.
The Sequel to Rising
A group known as A2D (Atlantis Armed Defenders), led by Tekishi Monowa, has been secretly planning to take over the country. 13 year old Hiro accidentally discovers this, and rushes to tell the Atlantis council of his discovery. They don't believe him, but a few days later the government HQ goes down to the ground and the council members are forced to flee. After Tekishi confronts Hiro, he puts him under a 5-year prison sentence. Once 2 years pass, a group looking to bring back the old council government breaks into Geka Prison, and in the process they free Hiro. After meeting up with the group again soon afterwards, Hiro joins them. However, there is more at work here than what anyone realizes. No matter what ends up happening though, the world is about to be Reborn…
The Party System
Rebirth is the first game in the series to have a Party system. As you unlock more characters you can customize your party, either to make your dream team or make use of the brand new Idle Bonuses. Since only one character can fight at a time, your party members not in use will grant you Idle Bonuses, which are stat boosts that can be either small or big, depending on the character. Making good use of Idle Bonuses will get you an edge in battle for sure!
A Reborn Arena
The small Arena from Rising has been entirely revamped into a mode of its own! Not only will this Arena act as your “hub” where you can manage your Party, Weapons, and Skills, but you can also take on 5-round Tournaments, just like in R.E.N.(ZERO)’s Arena mode. Yorko (from Rising) also makes his goodol’ return in this mode, and he’s always ready to give ya sum goodol’ tips!
Plenty of Post-Game Content
Free Play is making a return! This time around you’ll be able to experience side-stories called “Character Episodes” that are about the characters from the game. Besides that, this is also the first game in the series to have a New Game+ option, allowing you to replay the story on a higher difficulty. In addition, there's also all the characters, weapons, and skills to unlock in the arena, and all the chests to find in the story. If you're wondering how you're coming along progress-wise, make sure to check the Library in Free Play!
