Yorko's Tips & Tricks!

Hey, this here’s goodol’ Yorko! Remember me from da arena? Well, now I’m here ta give ya sum goodol’ tips!

(Author’s Note: Typos are intended to get across how Yorko talks. Also, Yorko is not a real person, and as such is not the true author of this post.)

Okie-dokey, in this first section I’ll give ya sum goodol’ tips on how to 100% the game if yer strugglin’!

Checking Progress This ain’t so bad if ya know what ta do.

Pre-Requirement(s): Story Clear

Enter Free Play mode, and head down to the center o’ town. Then turn left. Then after heading through a goodol’ portal, head to da upper-right portal. And here’s da library! Walk a lil’ ways up, and there’s a bookshelf! If ya touch it, it’ll automatically display yer progress!

By da way, “Minigame Score” can be ignored progress-wise. It’s just kinda cool ta see all yer minigame scores added up here.

Unlocking Characters

Most characters are unlocked in a very straight-forward way. Just get sum goodol’ gold to buy ‘em from Yorkei’s shop, or unlock ‘em while playing the STORY. However, there are three characters unlocked in a very different way. I’ll go over ’em here.

Santa

Pre-Requirement(s): Arena Unlocked, it’s da Christmas Season

Santa Claus might be one of da hardest characters ta earn. Why? He only shows up from November 19th to December 31st (and if ya think that’s a random start date, it is random, until ya know that’s when he was first added to da game). So first, wait until it’s Christmas Season…if yer bored ya can check out the video above that showcases his in-game event. Once it’s Christmas Season, just pop into da arena and take ’im on!

Or, if yer REAL impatient…there is another way. But I’ll cover it separately.

Pre-Requirement(s): Free Play unlocked

Head ta da Prison in Free Play. In da entrance area is the Announcer from RUSH. Talk ta ‘im, and BOOM! 7 wild bosses ta take on! And at crazy high levels! But if ya survive, Santa’ll join ya even if it ain’t Christmas time!

Sakaro (True)

Pre-Requirement(s): Arena Unlocked, Story Clear

Sakaro’s true form is quite easy ta unlock! Just head into my goodol’ arena and head a lil’ bit to da left…he should be a-waitin’. Just chat a bit, and he’ll join yer party!

Karato

Pre-Requirement(s): Story Clear, all other Character Episodes cleared

Karato’s a bit more difficult to unlock than Sakaro (True). First, ya’ll need to clear every other Character Episode! Then, head to A2D’s Science Lab in Free Play…and there’ll be three characters waitin’ for ya. Begin this new Character Episode, fight a battle, win it, and then Karato’s in yer party! He’s got a great Idle Bonus, too: All Stats +4! Not to mention his Xel Move’s the strongest of anyone’s. The hard part’ll be pickin’ whether yer using him for his Idle Bonus or for Xel!

Unlocking Weapons

Most weapons are straight-forward to earn, like da characters. However, in this case there are 2 weapons that aren’t purchasable. But they’re real good!

Infinity Sword (“∞Sword” in-game)

Pre-Requirement(s): Chapter 7 unlocked

This weapon’s in a chest! There’s only one goodol’ map in this chapter, so the chests shouldn’t be too hard ta find… Just head down, if yer havin’ trouble.

Break Sword

Pre-Requirement(s): Chapter 9 unlocked

Like da Infinity Sword, da Break Sword’s in a chest. This time, however, the chest might not be so obvious! Remember da jail from Chapter 1? Well, in Chapter 9 there are two maps, the second one being visiting da jail again. When yer here, instead of following yer instincts and takin’ on the enemies first, head down into dat lower part of da jail. Before, there was an enemy in Chapter 1. Now there’s a chest with a goodol’ weapon inside!

Now, onto section 2! This time I’ll be coverin’ stuff that ya might miss during yer story playthrough! If ya miss it da first time around, remember that there’s always New Game+!

Chests

This is important! Chests are NOT required to 100% da game! However, they are EXTREMELY useful little dudes. Why? Well, sum are technically required for 100% completion (da ones where ya get weapons), but besides those two chests, all da others get ya gold. And gold is valuable. Let’s just say finding chests will really speed up the process o’ unlockin’ characters and weapons, because yu’ll get a lot o’ gold.

Often, chests are quite easy ta find. Ya just gotta search a bit for ‘em. But in some Chapters, chests only appear when certain enemies are defeated. But if ya happen ta defeat ‘em in the wrong order, that means no chest! I’m here ta help ya with that! By da way, I’ll skip over earlier chapters with chests being unlocked from defeatin’ certain enemies as the chests are easy ta find in those.

Chapter 8

This is da first chapter where things are a bit more difficult. Here’s a hinty: defeat da monster at da top, and one of the ones on da side (I’m not tellin’ which one, hehe). If no chest shows up, that means ya did it in the wrong order!

Chapter 9

This one’s quite straightforward, in da first map. The second map doesn’t follow the “defeat in certain order” rule, so it should be easier. How do ya do it? Well, ignore da two main bosses from Rising and just head up and beat up Sakaro. After dat, head ALL the way down, and there’s a chest!

Chapter 10

Like Chapter 9, this one’s straightforward. Defeat all da enemies on da left and right (4 in total), and ignore the ones at da top and bottom o’ da map. Then, look a bit around…yu’ll find it.

Signs, Bookshelves, and Statues

Oh YEAH, this is a fun one! It won’t relate to yer overall progress at all, but if yer a fan o’ Kingdom Come, Hadcl4, or just sum goodol’ humor, this’ll fill yer bucket.

Signs: Yu’ll come across a TON o’ signs. Sum just give general directions, but others have some nice, goody-goody info. Check out the one near yer base, for example. It gives a bit of history to the building.

Bookshelves: This one’s only in da library (Chapter 4, and Free Play), but there’s a lot o’ fun to be had here. Leave no book unturned! Er, well, bookshelf. There’s only one book per shelf yer able to check out part(s) of, otherwise if ya could read ‘em all it’d be a real big pain for Mr. Developer. But, with da ones ya can read, they vary. Sum are some great humor or spoofs, whereas others add more to the history of Kingdom Come. The library is split up into three sections, so go check out whatev’ yer in da mood for!

Statues: Okay, there’s actually only one statue. But make sure to check out dis guy near Geka Bridge. Hopefully yu’ll get a laugh, because the text is a bit laughable (and intended to be).

Metal Soldiers Cameos

Played Hadcl4’s “Metal Soldiers”? Well, Rebirth was developed largely alongside Metal Soldiers (they were both announced at da same time), and Rebirth’s got a lot of references to Metal Soldiers hidden throughout (this includes the library from the previous section, by da way). Besides da library, make sure ta try spottin’ Hishamu and Pilot in Chapter 6, Chapter 9, and Chapter 10! Other than that, Hishamu and Pilot are both fully playable characters, unlockable from Arena! So make sure ta have sum fun with this crossover stuff!

Sajiro and Hiro with shorter hair

Perhaps ya played Kura’s Character Episode by now and ran into a dude named Sajiro. Maybe ya also managed to spot ‘im during Chapter 10. Who is this dude? Sajiro’s a character from an earlier version of Metal Soldiers, called “Perfect Metal” at da time. All da other character sprites from this version remained in da final game, but Sajiro didn’t make it…so now he’s here.

As fer Hiro, did ya notice a version o’ him with shorter hair at points where every character’s shown? This is how Hiro appeared in very, very early builds of Kingdom Come (at a time when Rising and Rebirth were goin’ ta be one game!). This is da first time Hiro with this haircut is making it out o’ the sprite editor and prototypes!

Enjoyed me Tips & Tricks? I sure did! Well, have a great time playin’ Kingdom Come Rebirth!

From yer new best bud,

Yorko
